I am a creative nonfiction writer.
I am currently an MFA candidate in the Nonfiction Writing Program at the University of Iowa, where I teach in the Rhetoric Department. I am also an editorial assistant at The Iowa Review.
I hold a B.A. in English & Creative Writing and Biology from Dartmouth College. In 2018, I worked at the Motherboard channel at VICE Media publishing articles on science and technology. In 2019, my undergraduate thesis, Shark’s Eye, won the Sidney Cox Memorial Prize for theses at Dartmouth College, and helped me achieve High Honors in English and the Edwards R. Perkins Literature Prize for Excellence in English. The eponymous essay “Shark’s Eye” won the Sidney Cox Memorial Prize for essays, as well as the Mecklin Prize in Creative Nonfiction. In March 2020 I completed a residency at the Vermont Studio Center, which was fully funded through the Dartmouth Vermont Studio Fellowship.
